Energy Exhibition and Conference in Thailand To Push For Low-Carbon Society
Energy and technology industry leaders and ASEAN delegates to meet in Thailand for the annual premier event — Sustainable Energy & Technology Asia (SETA).
Bangkok, 2016 – Get to know the keynote speakers and forum agenda for 2017’s SETA.
Featuring over hundreds of exhibitors, altogether hosting 10,000 attendees from over 50 countries, this year’s Sustainable Energy & Technology Asia event will validate why this conference has been considered a premier platform for meeting and exchanging of ideas regarding Sustainable Energy and Technology among ASEAN and overseas countries.
To officially open the event is Thailand’s Prime Minister Gen. Prayuth Chan-ocha and other luminaries of the science, energy, and technology industries.
This year’s keynote speakers will include representatives from Thailand’s energy, technology, and transport ministries, along with foreign speakers from the European Union, ASIEN, International Energy Agency (IEA), The International Renewable Energy Agency (IRENA), World Nuclear Association, and be various in energy industries. The speakers will also give us an overview of topics and events in the latest 22nd Conference of the Parties to the UNFCCC (COP 22) held in Morocco during 7th to 18th November 2016. H.E.Dr. Pichet Durongkaveroj
Minister of Science and Technology, Thailand
The Ministry of Science and Technology (MOST), is a Thai government body responsible for the oversight of science and technology in Thailand. Dr. Pichet Durongkaveroj has been serving as Minister since 2014. He has played a significant role in integrating and establishing partnerships both in domestic and international fields.
H.E.Mr. Arkhom Termpittayapaisith
Minister of Transport, Thailand
The Ministry of Transport (MOT) is a Thai government body responsible for the development, construction, and regulation of the nation’s land, marine, and air transportation systems. Mr. Arkhom Termpittayapaisith has been serving as Deputy Minister since 2014 and as Minister since 2015. He is instrumental in various infrastructure development projects and important strategies aimed primarily at sustainable and green development.
H.E.Dr. Maximus Johnity Ongkili
Minister of Energy, Green Technology and Water, Malaysia
The Ministry of Energy, Green Technology and Water (KeTTHA), is a ministry of the Government of Malaysia that is responsible for sustainable energy, green technology, water supply, and sewerage. Datuk Seri Panglima Dr. Maximus Johnity Ongkili has been serving as Minister since 2013. He is responsible for many renewable energy development projects in Malaysia international cooperation in the fields of energy, green technology, and water.

Ambassador and Head of Delegation
Delegation of the European Union in Thailand
His Excellency Jesus Migúel Sanz is the Spanish-born Head of Delegation of the EU to Thailand. He represents all 28 EU member states in Thailand. He has been serving as Head of the Delegation of the European Union to the Kingdom of Thailand and to the Lao People’s Democratic Republic since 2013. His role is to coordinate among the 28 EU countries in Thailand and the Brussels office.
Ms.Agneta Rising
Director General of World Nuclear Association
The World Nuclear Association (WNA) is the international organization that promotes nuclear power and supports the companies that comprise the global nuclear industry. Agneta Rising has been serving as Director General since 2013. Her expertise and formidable work in nuclear power safety and development has been taken notice by the Swedish government, the EU Commission, and the International Atomic Energy Agency allowing her appointment to advisory positions. She was a recipient of the Atoms for Peace Prize award in 2013.
Ms.Georgina Hayden
Head of Power & Renewables, BMI Research
BMI Research is a research firm that provides macroeconomic, industry, and financial market analysis, covering 24 industries and 200 global markets. Georgina Hayden started her career at the BMI Research as a power & renewable analyst in 2012. Her expertise include global power and renewables markets, energy agendas, regulatory issues, and policy environments.
The three-day international conference will showcase cutting-edge projects from energy innovations. It will also allow for the discussion of latest issues in policy planning and technology advancement, and global low-carbon advocacies. The CEO Energy Forum will bring together CEOs and leaders from Thailand and ASEAN countries in a panel discussion that will cover a wide range of topics. These experts will participate in thought-provoking sessions on emerging issues and challenges in the energy market in Asia. They will exchange opinions on how the various sectors can work together towards achieving energy efficiency and innovation for a low carbon economy in line with the advocacies presented in COP 22.
