Since 2011, Kaz Fukui had led regional marketing and strategic initiative projects for GE Power, first as the Marketing Director, then as the General Manager of Growth & Strategy, for Asia-Pacific region. Previously, he worked as Strategic Marketing Manager in GE Energy in Japan, the USA and the UK, responsible for identification, evaluation and development of growth opportunities in business adjacencies, including cleantech spaces. Prior to joining GE, he led aircraft structure technology development programs in the UK.
In his current role, Kaz is responsible for strategic initiatives and market development activities across GE Power portfolio in the region, including gas, coal, hydro, and wind power generation technologies amongst others. This involves development of regional market intelligence, strategic planning, and execution of business growth initiatives. His team also drives regional demand creation projects, deploying GE Power products to address regional energy infrastructure needs.
Kaz has 16 years of experience in technology development, commercialization and new business development, across the aerospace and energy sectors.
Kaz attended University of Oxford Said Business School, where he earned his MBA (2006). He also holds a BA (1998), MEng (1999) and MA (2002) from the University of Cambridge, and has been a Chartered Engineer with the Institute of Mechanical Engineers since 2005.
